How long does it take?

• 1st session: 3 - 5 hours, where we recreate your new hairline and go over the affected area, making it look fuller
• 2nd session: 2 - 5 hours dedicated to filling in and creating density
• 3rd session: 1 - 4 hours, used to perfect your new look and bring the detail.

How natural looking are the results from SMP?

Scalp Micro-pigmentation is designed to match and blend in with your existing hair growth and is not noticeable. Some of our clients tell us that the odd friend may give them compliments that they look well or that something looks different, but they can’t quite put their finger on what has changed.

SMP is a subtle change which simply completes your look, giving you back your hairline which borders your face again and can help you regain confidence.

Aftercare advice will be given for each session.

  Can Scalp Micropigmentation work with fair hair?

Yes, with SMP it is the very tip of the hair follicle we replicate and not the actual colour as the hair grows.

  Is it the same as a normal tattoo?

No, even though SMP can be known as a hair tattoo, it is completely different to a normal tattoo.

The pigments used for SMP will not change colour, different equipment and needles are used as well as a completely different technique.

You have to be specially trained to perform Scalp micro-pigmentation.

Will the treatment damage my existing hair?

No not at all, in fact the treatment has been known to stimulate hair growth in some cases.

How much is a top up?

Usually a top up is £250...depending on the extent of hair loss.

Some clients may require a touch up every 2-5 years where others may need touch ups more frequently. This all depends on after care or if you want it looking fresh.

How much deposit is needed to book in?

A £100-200 deposit is needed depending on the amount of hair loss...Please note this is non refundable once you're booked in.

Is the treatment safe?

The treatment is perfectly safe, we use all natural products, every needle is disposed of correctly, gloves are used and all equipment is wrapped and cleaned appropriately for each and every client.

Is SMP painful?

Having had the treatment myself, I would say from a scale of 1-10 (10 being the most discomfort), 3-4 at the most...it is nothing like a traditional tattoo, which goes a lot deeper.

Will the inks change colour?

The inks we use are designed and produced to the very highest of standards, which will NOT turn blue/green over time. We use different inks, different equipment and different techniques to ensure you're left with brilliant results.

What is the treatment aftercare?

After each treatment, you may return to work immediately.

1. Do not wash or shave your head and protect it from rain for 4 days.

2. Day 5:  Wash your head with warm water only (no soaps/shampoos/baths) and not with the shower; just a splash of water. You are able to shave your head at this point but only with a foil shaver and not a blade.

3. Day 5: Use a non-alcohol moisturiser 3 times a day. This helps to soften the scalp meaning the treatment is easier and less pain for you.

4. NO SWIMMING FOR 28-30 DAYS!

5. Protect your head from the sun with sunscreen factor 30 minimum whilst having treatment. This should be carried on after 10 days and there onward.

7. Wear a hat if need be, but nothing that can rub/scratch on your treated area. Only use silk or a cap, not woollen hats until healed.
